How to spot a FAKE Dermacol Make-up foundation

Dermacol High Cover Make-up Foundation is a VERY popular item and unfortunately markets are flooded with counterfeit knockoffs from China. Knockoffs give Dermacol a bad reputation also, it is dangerous to use because no one knows whats inside that tube!

We, as a seller of GENUINE Dermacol products, want our customer to be aware and be able to spot a fake when they see one.

  1. The first indicator is a LOW price. If it's cheap IT'S a FAKE.

    Why?

Real Dermacol is not cheap for re-sellers and to be profitable one can't be selling it for $8 or even $13, as you may seen on eBay or Amazon, unless it's a temporary marketing move to gain visibility

  2. Another very simple indicator is the plastic wrapper of the container box.

REAL Dermacol does not individually wrap the case!

! Some sellers are aware of that and being clever by removing the wrapper :)
So you don't get fooled by that "sneaky" move keep reading...

  3. Look closer at the seal puncher pointer.

On the real Dermacol you will see that the pointer has more sharper end and smooth all around where the fake one has square edges and the tip is not as pointy.

  4. Pay attention to Trustedseal! (holographic image on the back of the box)

Trustseal is a hot-stamped gold foil embedded directly into the box (not a sticker!) bearing the Dermacol logos, with special lighting effects. It’s located on the back side of the packaging in the pink stripe.

Trustseal always has one single form with the same graphic design, the same gold color and a unified size as you can see.
It is not possible to remove or peel off the Trustseal from the box because it is not a sticker.

  5. In case you can't tell by the Trustedseal... I did see a very well placed stickers that for unaware person it will look completely legit.

Look under the rolled and of the tube.

The genuine Dermacol has black line in the middle of the tube where fake is  shorter and shifted to the side

  6. And few more images we took for comparing:

The REAL Demacol tube has slightly darker gold color and more sparkly, letters in darker color as well. FAKE is someone pale/washed out, missing contrast.
